Getting to know Surgeon Mr Amit Bhargava M.B.B.S, M.S in Orthopaedics, F.R.C.S, FRCS Orthopaedics
Mr Amit Bhargava is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Nuffield Hospital Brentwood and Basildon University Hospital specialising in all aspects of foot and ankle problems.
He has done two fellowships in foot and ankle surgery, three years training in foot surgery as part of his Specialist Registrar training and a further fellowship in complex foot & ankle trauma surgery. |
Mr Bhargava is working as a consultant for six years and has in depth knowledge and skills in his field. His practice involves a large spectrum of foot and ankle surgeries and endeavours to provide you the best results in one attempt.
His NHS practice mainly involves undertaking referral of complex foot and ankle cases from trusted hospital colleagues. He takes special interest and has skills in managing cases which have been told that they cannot be made better or those who have had a previously failed surgery. |
He is a keen athlete and runner, who loves to participate in Half Marathons. Due to his love for sports, Mr Bhargava has a special interest in treating sports injuries. He has treated many elite sportsmen especially while practising as a foot and ankle Surgeon in India.
Mr Bhargava uses preemptive analgesia and does most Ankle and Subtalar fusion surgeries via keyhole or by using arthroscope thus, most of his work is done as a day case and patients recover in comfort of their own home, after the surgery. Mr Bhargava is the only foot & ankle surgeon in Essex to undertake complex diabetic foot reconstruction surgeries. Additionally he routinely deals with bunion, claw toe, flatfoot and foot and ankle fracture surgeries. |
